Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-18

Loopist is a free, browser-based tool for repeating YouTube videos. It's designed to be privacy-friendly. This page explains exactly what data is involved when you use it.

What we DO NOT collect

What we DO collect (aggregate only)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and from where, in aggregate. Cloudflare's analytics are explicitly designed to not track individual visitors:

What stays in your browser

The notes you take and the loops you save are stored locally in your browser's localStorage:

Third-party services

YouTube

Loopist embeds the YouTube video player in privacy-enhanced mode (via youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube does not set tracking cookies unless and until you interact with a video. After interaction, YouTube (operated by Google) may collect data per its own privacy policy. Loopist has no access to that data.

Affiliate links

Loopist may include affiliate links to partners such as iTalki and Preply. When you click such a link, the destination service may track that the click came from Loopist using a unique referral identifier. Loopist may earn a small commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. We never see the details of what you do on the destination site.

Your rights

You can clear all locally-stored data at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings. Because Loopist holds no server-side personal data about you, there is no account to delete and no data export to request.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
